100% Worth Your Time! Jonathan was very knowledgeable about the city and did a great job sharing it all. There were stories that he told that still have me pondering and investigating even more. I loved his embrace of the dark side of American history while still sharing his pride for our country made me realize that yes, we can do both.

Who rules the world? (Girls!) John was a wonderful tour guide with vast historical knowledge with a down to earth vibe that couldn’t be beat. We loved learning history in an engaging way especially about powerful women!

Best tour experience ever! We have traveled extensively and we consider this tour the best. Some tour guides are great with history, some have a keen sense of humor, some have a clear love of the location they are describing, and some are able to invite you into their world. A fantastic way to spend two hours in Charleston SC -- Awesome tour guide! What a treat it was to spend 2+ hours walking through Charleston, SC with Jonathan of JWalk Tours. He infused our time together with knowledge of the city, fun facts, and stories that brought many of the historical figures to life. Jonathan was warm, with a great sense of humor. Engaging with Charleston’s history through its buildings Thank you to Jonathan for providing an interesting overview of the history of the city. The time flew by on this tour. Jonathan spoke clearly, with animation and enthusiasm for his subject. He pointed out the fascinating architectural details of the buildings we visited, as well as relating their history and some humorous stories where appropriate. His tour was one of the highlights of my visit to Charleston!

What an amazing amount of knowledge John has to share . This tour was excellent I would do it over again in a heartbeat. I wish I brought a pad and pen to take notes on some of the names, places, and dates to further research . He has a passion for Charlestons rich and lengthy history. I highly recommend a tour . You won’t be disappointed .

Best tour in Charleston!!! JWalkTours was an incredible experience! This was our first visit to Charleston and the best thing we did was take the morning tour on our first day. Jon is SO knowledgeable about all details of Charleston and surrounding areas, the tour was fascinating. We walked through the city and learned so much more than expected! The history is honest and impressive. We talked about the information we learned all weekend. We will definitely be visiting again and sign up for more JWalk tours! AND we are so excited for the youtube channel to launch so we can continue learning more about the beautiful city.

Jonathan's Chicora Tour This was by far the most interesting and informative walking tour we have been on in Charleston. Accurate information! And not super coated like some of the other tours we have been on. If we had the time we would have definitely done the other tour.

A Great Experience We did the Bad Ass Women tour this afternoon with Jonathon. It was a perfect way to see and learn about Charleston. So much information about the history of both Charleston and the South that was enthralling especially to us Australians. Getting the detail about the intertwining events and the people behind them made this tour memorable. All so well explained by Jonathon who is clearly passionate as well as knowledgable about the history of the area.

I’ve taken a lot of tours in my 45 years of visiting Charleston, but this was THE BEST!! Johnathan is personally invested in the people and history of Charleston and it shines through in his historical tours. I learned many new things about this beautiful city and heard fascinating stories about its people. He does extensive research to ensure accuracy and finds interesting pieces of Charleston history I’ve never heard anywhere else. Go ahead and do a carriage tour to get briefly acquainted with Charleston, but follow it up with a tour from Johnathan for “the rest of the story”, you’ll be so glad you did.

SO GOOD! This tour was hands down top one or two best Torres for me! Jonathan is a great tour guide because he loves the city, he has done his research about the city, and the people that are important to making history, and he has this great enthusiastic attitude. He will make sure that you have a very distinct experience just for you and your group.

MUST-DO in Charleston! Jonathan was an AMAZING tour guide!! Two hours flew by as we learned fascinating facts about Charleston's historical city. We loved our tour! We had a great time on our tour. Being the slowest month for tourism, we were the only 3 on the tour, but Jonathan didn't let that bother him. He is very knowledgeable and a fun guide. He told us some great stories, and our two hours flew by.

Continuing to learn about Charleston history I grew up in SC and went to college at The College of Charleston, and I thought I had substantial knowledge of the history of Charleston and South Carolina culture. This was my husband’s and my second tour with Jonathan, and he continued to teach me new things I had never learned (or been taught). Jonathan is generous with his knowledge and time. We highly recommend taking a walk through Charleston with him!
