History through stories This was a great tour and I would highly recommend it. The historical stories were interesting and entertaining. I would take another tour with JWalk tours.

For guys girls! This was SUCH a fun and unique tour! Jonathan gave us a good history of Charleston while integrating the stories of some amazing women who played significant parts in that history. This is a great tour for both men and women! Highly recommend!

Would book with JWalk Tours again!! Jonathan was a wonderful tour guide. His delivery of the story of this beautiful city was thoughtful and showed a real love of history. In fact, he did such a nice job, we booked his BadassBroads tour the next day. Jonathan's "Let's Take a Walk" is spot on.

Highlight of our trip! Our tour with Jonathon was the highlight of our trip! Jonathan is so knowledgeable about Charleston and he had lots of stories to tell about historical events and historical figures. We saw lots of great spots and learned so much. Jonathan is friendly and funny! We had a great time and will def take one of his other tours during our next visit. Highly recommend!! A E

Chicora Tour Great tour to understand the history of Charleston and see most of the key landmarks. We only had 4 on our tour so it was easy to hear the guide and ask questions. Jonathon was very knowledgeable and passionate about Charleston. Highly recommend.

History tour Great tour. Jonathan is very knowledgeable. We have taken 2 tours with him and my wife and I enjoyed both. This tour is different from any of the other tours we have taken.

It never got boring! This tour was well worth it! Jonathan combined a knowledge of Charleston’s history with a sense of humor and a genuine love of his city. It never got boring! The two hours we spent with him went by quickly and I was sorry when it came to an end. Tip: wear comfortable shoes and do take a bottle of water.

Great walking tour of CHAS throughly enjoyed JWalk tour - it was far superior to our other walking / boat tours: guide was animated, knowledgeable, interactive and very interesting. Only thing I would add is to offer a military discount for Veterans.

Badass Broads Tour Jon was a very knowledgeable guide with an enthusiasm and passion for Charleston and it’s history. We did the Badass Broads tour. It offered a unique take on Charleston and the women who helped build it. The 2 hour tour is great for anyone with an interest in Charleston’s long and varied history. We will be back for the Chicora Walk.

Worth the time We highly recommend this tour. Jon is an excellent. He is very knowledgable and witty. He also does not rush the tour and is respectful to those on it and the broad range of questions he gets.

Great fun learning experience We had heard most of this Charleston history before , but this was presented with a different twist and with a humorous energetically manner.Booked as Historic women of Charleston thru Viator. Guide said the real name was Bad Ass Broads of Charleston.
I was worried when he said that but as we went along it was great! Learned about strong independent women and their contribution to Charleston, the USA, and the world

Engaging and entertaining guide tells the stories of women of Charleston on his walking tour. We did the afternoon “Badass Broads of Charleston” walking tour by J Walk Tours. This tour focused on women who made an impact on the history of Charleston. Jonathan was engaging and friendly. He wove his stories into the sites we saw a long the way. Johnathan is passionate about sharing these stories and has a sincere appreciation for the these women. He also touched on the history of slavery in Charleston. It’s not a feminist tour but rather tells the stories of these women. It’s not only for women! It was more interesting than I expected.

Best walking tour guide Jonathan is by far the best tour guide I have ever had. He is not only great story teller of Charleston history, he is very passionate about that history. You will enjoy yourself so much you won’t even realize you are also learning things! Do not second guess taking one of his tours, you will NOT be disappointed!

Amazing Walking Tour in the Heart of the City This tour was absolutely fabulous! We had an amazing time learning about the incredible women who shaped Charleston’s history. The guide did a phenomenal job covering both inspiring and difficult topics in a way that was engaging, informative, and easy to understand. It was the perfect mix of history, storytelling, and fun. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful experience in Charleston!

Great tour from an enthusiastic guide! Took the Chicora Walking Tour with Jonathan with a group of friends on our first morning in Charleston — we made up four of a group of six on a Saturday morning in March. Jonathan is a really thoughtful and knowledgeable guide and his enthusiasm for his city and its stories were contagious. We enjoyed the tour and were glad to get a little bit of the content from his “Badass Broads” tour mixed in. Thanks Jonathan!

Makes you want to come for more … Jonathan is the tour guide you want when you want to learn about the history of Charleston. His deep knowledge and passion shines through, his tour is engaging, his sense of humor makes it very enjoyable .He shared nuances that you won’t notice when just walking the streets, highlighted some facts and context from a very complex history of Charleston he city. We definitely learned a lot and can’t recommend him enough. When I’m back in Charleston, I will take his other tours - specifically about women of Charleston. He is a local gem!

Passion and knowledge Jonathon is the most knowledgeable and passionate guide I've met. He really loves his history. His tour is easy to walk. We have visiting Charleston many times but never really knew what we were looking at or even how to begin to understand the history. This tour with Jonathon gave me an understanding of the people and culture, the architecture. How Charleston changed over the years was interesting. I can't tell you how great Jonathan's enthusiasm for Charleston's history is. Book this tour!

Great walking tour of Charleston with Jonathan Green. The guide, Jonathan Green, was fabulous - very knowledgeable, passionate about his topic, full of interesting stories, details, anecdotes and facts. He knows the city and its people. He has a very strong clear voice so I had no trouble hearing him. Well researched and presented. A very enjoyable morning that I would strongly recommend.

Best Walking Tour in Charleston, SC I booked with Jwalk Tours based on the reviews. I read at least 40 and there is nothing but GREAT things to say about Jwalk, and now I know they were not wrong. You cannot delete bad reviews, so if there are none, this is a solid company. Johnathan is the owner and your tour guide, and he was easy on the ears and enjoyable to listen to. He draws you into his world as if you were living there when the cannon was going off.We went on 1/17/25 at 10 am. It was a cold morning, and we lucked out and had a private tour, which made the tour even more enjoyable. He let us all know he encourages us to ask questions, but he asks that we wait until we break, and now I know why. For almost every question we wanted to ask, the answers were already coming within 12 minutes. I tried to think of questions he had never received before, and they were all answered in due time. I laughed, the pace was perfect, and with so many stops to learn something new, there was no real need for a traditional break.
You also meet up at a coffee shop beforehand, which is nice if you want to fuel up or have something warm in your hands when it is 40 degrees out. He is very knowledgeable, and we had an amazing time. We have already referred him to other guests from our hotel, Meeting Street Inn, which was also amazing.

Wonderful tour This was by far the best tour I have been on. If you are in Charleston I highly recommend this tour. Jonathan sure knows Charleston, a very gifted story teller and a wealth of information. You will not be disappointed.

Super Tour 11/12/24. Nine people on the walking tour. Very informative, very personable, never rushed us. Actually got an extra 1/2 hour. Did three carriage tours before but would recommend this one over them. I would highly recommend this tour. Harry and Terry.

BadAss Women of Charleston walking tour was fabulous! We fully enjoyed our tour with Jonathan! Jonathan knows Charleston history and culture extremely well - both the good and the bad.
